If you abide in me / My words abide—

If you abide in me, and if my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done to you. –John 15:7

Day understands it’s nothing.

Still, the body / dark
Hides, shame / her name,

perhaps. Understand / What—
Day caves in on
its / her—

*

self. Touch / Do you feel
real, Do you want
my body / No.

Hold still / Touch / Tell me—
Why have I—

Come here, She says, in

*

me / her body. I touch

You / Door—
The ceiling opens

A little. Light gets through.
And She / Dark, lost,
Slides in. Understand / What—

*

If you abide in me / My words abide—
Hold still / Knock / I want
You / Door—

where nothing slides in—
dark lightens loss. She says,

You are Nothing / God.
